Wegmans Peanut Butter Sunday Ice Cream

My first glowing review of a product that may just get a perfect 10!!  So first of all, we love ice cream and of course had to try this new brand.  There are so many flavors to choose from it was hard to narrow it down to just two this trip  ;)

The size and sturdiness of the package is good and at $1.99 for 48oz makes it an amazing value!  The ice cream is just so filled with chunks and swirls that its just like a peanut butter cup in every bite.  Everyone loved this ice cream flavor and we will be working our way through the other flavors if we can ever get off this one.  These ice creams are staying on our list!

Rated a 10/10 for quality, taste and value!

Wegmans Crescent rolls in the tube

Ok so for Thanksgiving we usually have the canned crescent rolls so I thought we would try the Wegmans brand!  Well....when they came out of the can I was really skeptical of their mushy and uneven consistency.  They opened fine and when you unrolled them they were gummy and well...not very pretty.

After baking them however-- they were delicious!  They looked just fine and tasted great.  This is one product I guess you cant judge a book by its cover.   These were on sale for Thanksgiving for .99 for 8 rolls so that does make them a bargain!!  We had them plain and with cheese and both were golden and delicious.  

I would rate these a 8/10 for the price and how they turned out at the end!   A tasty choice on sale.

Wegmans macaroni salad

Wegmans macaroni salad was located in the deli section of the store and really looked good!  I opted for the small portion because this isn't the cheapest of options.  But I always think that if the salad is that good then it will be worth it.

We cracked it open and dug in.  Meh.  Its not bad really-- the pasta is nice and firm and it seems creamy enough...its just too plain.  My daughter thought it needed some sort of zing with pickle.  So sad this wasn't better and I hate to think that whatever I buy I have to "doctor" to get it to taste good.  (Now mind you we did stand there and polish off the entire container  lol)

So unless they say new and improved or there is a new flavor, we will be passing on this one.

Giving this a 4/10 for a rating.

Wegmans Fusilli Pasta review

For dinner when hubby is out of town,  I decided to try some of Wegmans house brand pasta with some pesto and cannellini beans.   It is a 16oz box size with a price tag of $1.99 so it is within the realm of other pasta stats.  

When boiling up these noodles I did notice that they were a bit denser in nature than other pasta and did take longer than the package suggested to cook.  This is just your plain white pasta and it cooked up fine.  They really kept their shape after boiling!  This would be a good thing especially for pasta salads so that they don't turn to mush.  I have other shapes in this brand and will see if they are all consistently good in the future.   My pasta dish turned out great and was fairly pleased with the results.   On a rating scale, I would give them an 8/10.  

Wegmans deli pizza

This is a pizza that was picked up pre-made in the deli section of Wegmans.  It is a white cheese and garlic pizza on naan bread.  At a price of $6.49 it is maybe an 8" pizza size.  Not sure if it was on sale or something since the package says $6.99.  This is a big single serving or a side for two.

I was not too impressed with this pizza.  It is exactly what it says and nothing more.  I did bake it directly on the oven shelf for a crispier crust.  It was a very mild garlic cheesy bread really  ;)

This would make a good little appetizer but at that price I may just try that actual deli pizza that has red sauce and hopefully more flavor.

This is getting a 6/10 from me especially since two of my kids didn't like it at all.

Wegmans everything bagel and whipped cream cheese combo

This is our second round of getting these fantastic bagels!  We have them very often for breakfast or an after school snack.   They are a good size-- not too small or so huge they won't fit in the bagel cutter.

At first look it does seem that all the stuff on the outside doesn't stick very well but all the flavor is there.   If you like garlic then these are for you!  They are a bargain at .75 each and will be on our list as long as they stay consistently good ;)

The whipped cream cheese is a great topper for these bagels.  It is not as fluffy as the national brand whipped but much lighter than the brick.  It is a good middle ground spread and has a good flavor and  very spreadable.  The price is right on target at $2.39 for a 12oz tub.

Overall this is a great combo that I would give 9/10 rating.   Keep up the good work Wegmans!

Wegmans Wonder water- Tangerine

Wegmans Wonder water in tangerine flavor is located in the deli section next to the check out by the restaurant.  There were many flavors available but decided to try tangerine first.

The bottle has a nice thick feel-- like if you drop it, it wouldn't shatter or dent.  Upon opening it feels solid and the lip of the container is smooth and enjoyable!

The flavor is subtle and knowing it doesn't have anything added it will make me want to drink more water.  And I mean there is NOTHING added-- no sodium or sugar!

This is a healthy choice but at $1.49 it is a little pricey.  Maybe it will go on sale for less than a dollar and that would make it a better deal.  Overall a very enjoyable flavored water that I would give an 8/10 only due to the price.

Wegmans Organic Medium Salsa

This was a nice salsa surprise from Wegmans!  It is a little spicy with a bit of sweet and goes well with straight chip dipping.  It has nice size chunks and a great consistency.  The jar is a little on the small size but has a reasonable price tag.

My entire family finished off the entire jar in one sitting and it will be on our list for shopping trips in the future!

Rating this on a scale from 1-10

I would give this a solid 9 only because the jar could be bigger and I wouldn't mind a little more spice.  I may be picking up the hot next time which should scare off anyone else sharing it with me  ;)
